We have a lot of great ideas.

When we're not busy working hard for our clients, we have time to develop new tools and contribute them to open source projects, pursue new partnerships, and stay current on our industry.

Drupalcon 2013 is less than two weeks away! Everyone on the Message Agency team is eager to head out to Portland for a week of learning and networking. While catching up with old friends and colleagues is great, the workshops and panels are the most exciting part!

Each day in India, the Akshaya Patra Foundation serves over 1 million school lunches to children to help fight hunger, keep students in school, and help them focus on education.  The goal is to help children and their families exit the cycle of poverty that often forces children to choose work over schooling to help contribute to their households.

The most junior of developers has joined the Message Agency family! Founder and principal Marcus Iannozzi and his wife Lisa welcomed son Mateo David into the world on the evening of Friday, September 7. Measuring 8lb 14 oz. and 21.25 inches long, he was over two weeks late in arriving.... We hope this does not reflect on his future job performance. We believe we can get him up to speed on PHP by the time he begins kindergarten, if we start early. Hey, look who stopped by the office this afternoon!

Okay, so perhaps not everyone is using Drupal... yet. But our favorite open-source content management system just keeps growing in popularity. Acquia recently released an infographic illustrating Drupal's widespread adoption within the US government—24% of all .gov domains now run on Drupal, more than any other competitor! The United Nations End Poverty campaign runs on Drupal, as does the World Bank. So do NASA and the US House of Representatives. World leaders love Drupal: President Obama, Queen Rania of Jordan, Prime Minister Julia Gillard of Australia, and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra of Thailand. Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign website is in Drupal, too.

Message Agency worked with Friends General Conference, an association of regional Quaker organizations primarily in the US and Canada. In the first phase, launched in June 2012, we built them a new Drupal website. In phase two, we will create a search platform which pulls information about member organizations directly from FGC's Salesforce CMS database. In the final phase, we will complete the full Drupal-Salesforce integration.

We're pleased to reveal the newest addition to Stoneleigh Foundation's Drupal site: a blog! The Foundation approached us with a request for this new functionality, and we built and themed it for a seamless integration into their existing site (which we also built).

I've been dealing with patches/reviews/testing on drupal.org for a couple of years now. If the Drupal Gatekeepers are serious about increasing contributions, here are some pretty simple barriers to entry that should be knocked down.
